A Message from Dave Cutcher
The book assumes no previous knowledge. It is for the absolute
beginner. I learned electronics the hard way. I am generally
self taught. I have experienced many of the common beginners’ errors,
and will save you quantities of time as I guide you along a firm trail
learning beginning electronics. I approach this very technical subject
from a teacher's perspective, not the technical point of view.
Right now, electronics is hot. It is a new outlet for the people
on the “edge” of learning, those seeking something different. Electronics
beckons the smartest people who want to work with their hands as well as
their heads. These people realize there is more in the world than
computers. Programming computers is all programming in a virtual
world. Electronics effects and controls the real world. And yes,
there is programming in electronics. There is an entire world of
micro-controllers. Microcontrollers are used to control other electronic
systems full of electronic components.
But programming microcontrollers cannot stand by itself. There
is a lack of information related to the “how to” of basic electronic components.
Beginners will stay at the beginning level if they only learn the programming
side of things, and are unable to learn about basic electronic components
and their interactions. Electronic Circuits for the Evil Genius
will teach you about the wider range of basic, hardwired electronics, both
digital and analog. |
