Part IV Exercise Key
Lesson 47
What do I have to Gain
Pay close attention to the entire lesson “Gain in the NPN Transistor”
The information in table L47-1 is worth the time it will take to understand.

1.  As I sit here writing, I see that my reference to the “Circuit Text DMR 2900” is in error.  You most likely aren’t using that model because it was discontinued in March 2005.
Diode Testing is a feature common to most multimeters.  Look for the “Diode Symbol” on the dial.  The measurements and outputs for good transistors will remain the same.  A reading of .68 on one DMM will be the same on another DMM.

3.

4.  Current throughout the entire leg of a system is always the same.

5. Go ahead and set it up.  Use any two resistors that are in the same range.
 i.e.  10,000 ohm and 22,000 ohm  or   10,000 ohm and 47,000 ohm

6.  Refer to how results were obtained in table 47 - 1
